About

Welcome to TheWorkAdvisor.com.

As the creator of this site and author of most of the articles I plan to use this site to share my comments and ideas on the daily workplace environment. The articles are my opinion.

This site is composed of ongoing articles that relate to workplace themes. Through creating a repository of various articles on a wide variety of subjects, I hope that TheWorkAdvisor.com will eventually become a place to come and learn as well as share with other individuals involved in the workplace.

Today’s work environment may seem more difficult than in the past, but when I started working in the early 1970′s it was a very different work envrionemtn. Today through many landmark judgements, new laws and better awareness on the part of many employers and employees there have been significant changes to our workplaces. At the same time many of the issues I witnessed more than 3 decades ago, remain today.

Work is a vital part of everyday life. Not only is it a means to secure income, but it also provides self worth and an integral and important daily part of our lives. Many of us have made long lasting friendships with fellow employees and have come to celebrate significant personal events with our fellow employees. For most of us, work is enjoyable, challenging, exciting and dare I say at times, fun.

Today with unemployment being high, many of our friends and family members are facing tough and difficult choices as they grapple with lack of funds and lack of opportunity.

My plan is to turn TheWorkAdvisor.com into  a repository of articles. I will not be indicating my real name nor where I live for privacy reasons. This is not a company and there is no phone number or address for contact. This is not a site that offers employment opportunities or consultants.

It is my hope that I can share my opinions and articles and listen to what others have to say. Most articles have areas for reader comments. Please keep your comments polite and on topic.

I look forward to sharing my thoughts and opinions on my site, TheWorkAdvisor.com

Yours In Work,
Fred H.
