DENVER-Three junior high students have been
charged with plotting an armed attack on a school 96.5 Kilometers from the site of the Columbine high school
massacre. Two 14-years
olds were arrested Wednesday and charged with conspiracy to commit
murder and a 15-year-old pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit
assault, police said. A lawyer representing one of the
14-year-olds said the boys never intended to follow through on the
threats and were remorseful. "This is a case where the three
defendants had been a little bit ostracized," Erik Fischer
said. "As part of their speaking out against that ostracism,
they made threats and comments in an attempt to scare or
intimidate these kids."
